Sunday school is an opportunity for children and youth from age 3 through 6^th grade to learn and grow in their faith. Classes meet during the 9:15 am Sunday worship service.

Saint Andrew has made some changes to Sunday school for the 2021-2022 school year!

NEW TIME

The start of Sunday school class will be shifting to 9:00 am, prior to the 9:15 am service. Classes will end around 9:45 am at which point students will return to the sanctuary after the sermon. This will allow for students to engage in and become an integrated part of our worship service.

3rd-6th GRADE ELECTIVE PROGRAM

We will be offering a new elective program for our 3rd-6th graders. Students will participate in 4-week sessions that will teach them about the ministries and mission of Saint Andrew. Ministry members will teach students about liturgical arts, the church seasons, our live stream technologies, and more.

3-year-old through 2nd grade classes will remain a traditional format. Classrooms will be determined by grade and students will learn bible stories and do fun activities using our Spark Classroom curriculum. Classes will run from 9:00- 9:45 am.

AT HOME SUNDAY SCHOOL

If your family would prefer to do Sunday school lessons at home, we will have Spark curriculum available to pick up. Please e-mail jenna@salc-wausau.org to request the ages you will need lessons for.

FIRST COMMUNION INSTRUCTIONS
For three weeks in March and April, students and families will have interactive conversation to learn about Holy Communion. A mailing has gone out with more information for fifth grade students and their parents. For those who are beyond fifth grade and interested in First Communion, please contact the office for more information.

MID-WINTER RETREAT
Held at Waypost Camp on Mission Lake near Hatley, Wisconsin – each January, students grades 3-6 play in the snow, study God’s Word, and spend time with old and new friends.

CONFIRMATION CAMP
Camp is an awesome opportunity in the faith formation of confirmation students here at Saint Andrew. Watch for more details.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (VBS)

VBS or Vacation Bible School is a week long summer program for Pre-K children through 5th grade. VBS is a unique blend of indoor and outdoor activities with crafts, worship, games, Bible study,  fellowship, and recreation.  Saint Andrew is  partnering with Crossways’ Day Camp to share the enthusiasm, energy, curriculum, and program ideas.
