Mid-Winter Retreat

Who: 3-6 Grade Students (& Parent chaperones)
What: Time at camp in God’s beautiful creation to play and explore in the snow, study bible stories, sing and play games around a theme focused on faith and life.
When: Friday, January 24 (drop off: 6:30-7:00 pm) – Sunday, January 26 (pick up: 11:00 am)
Where: Crossways Waypost Camp in Hatley, WI
Cost: $50 (will need to provide your own transportation.)

    In the event of a medical emergency, I hereby authorize staff or volunteers representing Saint Andrew Lutheran Church of Wausau, WI to act in the best interests of my child. Such persons may authorize all necessary medical and/or surgical procedures that they deem vital for the health of the person represented above. I understand that every effort will be made to contact me and that medical or surgical procedures will be implemented only in the event that I cannot be contacted. I assume all risk for, any injury, illness, death, or property damage, which could occur during this church-related activity. I am solely responsible for all medical costs or property damages.

Mid-Winter Retreat Participant Agreement

    • I will respect myself, other people, other people’s property, and the church property.
    • I will be an encourager, not one who ridicules, makes fun of, or criticizes.
    • I will deal peacefully with anger and disagreement issues which may happen.
    • I will participate and contribute in a positive way in all group activities.
    • I will follow the instructions of Saint Andrew Lutheran Church of Wausau, WI staff and/ or adult volunteers; this may also include event activity staff.
    I also acknowledge that if my behavior is illegal or detrimental to myself or others in any way, it may be necessary to leave this event earlier than scheduled at the expense and responsibility of my family.

40th Anniversary Sign Up

Several teams have been identified to assist in the planning of the year long 40th anniversary of Saint Andrew:

  • Archive Team – Work on collages/Digitize photos/digitize documents/search archive for interesing documents.
  • Slideshow Media Team – Create a celebration video that includes recording or videoing members and supporters/recording choir events or rehearsals/capturing or collecting photos of current events.
  • Mission Statement Team – Assist in refining our mission statement and creating a vision statement that reflects current and future goals and values of Saint Andrew.
  • Fundraising Team – Assist in the planning and execution of a small anniversary appeal that could be used for community benevolence and for sanctuary updates.
  • Event Planning Team – Assist in planning and execution of numerous events during the year including Lenten Worship, Zeerust visit, pasty sale(?), December 2020 main event, and other year long opportunities for events.
  • Publicity and Community Engagement Team – Assist in developing material and approaches for developing Facebook memories (through the year), media news releases, and advertisements for special community events to name a few.

Before you begin…

Before you start completing the forms it would be helpful to collect the baptism and confirmation dates, church name and address for yourself and your family members. We ask these questions to ensure our records are accurate and complete. (Note: You can also save and continue your partially completed forms as well.) Due to the length of the forms they were split into three forms; one for yourself, one for your spouse or partner, and another for your children who are becoming members.

    If you are interested in having your contributions automatically transferred to Saint Andrew electronically, there are two options:
    1. Use TOE (Transfer Offering Electronically) to do a bank account withdrawal from checking or savings.
    2. Use Saint Andrew's Online Payment web page to pay by credit card.

Photo Submissions

Pictures are part of our church and help to provide a historical record of events and participants at those events. Thank you for participating in preserving that history! Please note that the names of the participants are for historical records and will not be published without proper permission from the the individuals in the photograph.

The Celebration Patio

The Celebration Patio is located on the North Portico of the Fellowship Hall and West of the Chapel.
It is an area for prayerful reflection and contemplation but is also an area were we our celebrate ministry activities in full action!

There are many reasons to create a permanent celebratory remembrance to uplift and share with your fellow members of Saint Andrew:

+ Baptism of children or grandchildren / + Weddings of children or grandchildren
+ Your Special Wedding Anniversary or that of your Parents
+ In Memory of Friend, Family, Parents & Grandparents in the Church Triumphant
+ Memorialize an Event that is meaningful to you or your family

The pavers are 10 inches wide and 8 inches high. A  Paver may have up to 4 lines of text with a maximum of 15 characters per line. A paver can have a total of 40 characters. The tax deductible fee for having the paver created and installed is $100.  Click here to make the payment online. The payment may also be dropped off or mailed to Church or placed in the worship offering with a note explaining it’s purpose.

The pavers are created with a very permanent weatherproof masonry material that will last until the second coming!
